We developed a certificate scheme to make energy efficient upgrades more accessible to households and businesses.

New battery incentives will be available from 1 November 2024 to help homes and businesses maximise the use of the solar energy they generate and cut the cost of electricity bills.

This guide provides important information to help you decide whether installing a battery is right for you and how to get the most out of one.  

You can access an incentive to lower the cost of signing your battery up to a demand response contract, also known as a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). A VPP allows you to sell some of the excess stored energy in your battery when other people on the grid need it most.
