Project Summary
The 24 Degree Forest Project is located on property where farmers are aiming to optimise the use of unproductive creeks and slopes (land notionally steeper than 24 degrees is considered low quality for grazing and cannot be easily cultivated with machinery). The project aims to prevent landslides, soil erosion, invasive weeds, and introduce rich biodiversity and wildlife corridors through a carbon abatement project in Northern NSW. This project makes innovative use of low-value farmland that has the potential to be an essential and beautiful part of the farming landscape, while also delivering abatement at scale.
