Choose circular funding to increase NSW Government procurement of recycled materials
We are committed to using recycled materials wherever possible.
That’s why we’re launching the second round of Choose Circular funding.
This funding aims to stimulate innovation and demand for recycled materials through NSW Government purchasing and support the transition to a circular economy. We want to make it easy for your agency to source and use recycled materials and to help do this we are providing support of up to $3.2 million.
By increasing the use of recycled materials, your agency can play a crucial role in reducing waste and directly contributes to the goals outlined in the NSW Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy (WaSM). Together, we can lead the state towards a circular economy.
Benefits for your agency
Choose Circular funding can be used for a broad range of activities. Your team could develop action plans, conduct feasibility studies, develop specifications, and more. It could help your agency:
- access tailored support and resources to deliver activities
- identify potential cost savings
- stimulate local economies
- deliver corporate sustainability strategy and net zero plan objectives
- boost environmental sustainability and social outcomes encouraging sustainable behaviour
- meet NSW Government policy commitments, particularly the WaSM requirement to preference recycled content in agency purchasing.
Eligibility
NSW Government agencies are eligible to apply.
