The challenge of taking action on climate change is not only a challenge NSW is up to, it’s a challenge we can lead on. That’s why we, like so many countries and companies around the world, have committed to a goal of achieving net zero emissions by the year 2050.

Green building

NSW was one of the first Australian jurisdictions to commit to net zero emissions by 2050. We also have an objective to reduce emissions by 70% by 2035 compared to 2005 levels, helping us ensure we track our progress to 2050.
